MEETING: Public Arts Committee Regular Meeting

1. Regular Meeting: Roll Call
Vesta Shapiro called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.
2. Approval of Agenda:
Vandernail moved, and Klancke seconded the motion to approve the Agenda. Motion
carried: 9-0.
3. Consent Agenda:
a) Minutes – March 17, 2017
Ball moved, and Klancke seconded the motion to approve the consent agenda. Motion
carried: 9 -0.
4. Discussion
a) Artist Information Database and Networking. No responses received.
b) 2017 Marketing Programs and events. PAC discussed developing a strategy for
hosting a tent at the Picnic in the Park series. This will be an agenda item for the next
couple meetings.
c) Klancke and Flacke volunteered to draft a proposal for a utility box painting program
and a mural program for PAC consideration at the May 19 meeting. Larsen moved, and
Roybal seconded the motion to have Flacke and Klancke draft a mural mission
statement and Durbin provide recommendations for how to facilitate murals on public
buildings. Motion carried 9-0.
Martens moved, and Roybal seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:30.
Motion carried 9-0.
