Clary moved: Burman seconded: To allow bills and draw warrants for the amounts.
Motion Carried,
The Hiring of Dude Rice for Special Police was discussed.
Mason moved: Burman Seconded: To hire Dude Rice for Special Police duty on week-
end and when -ever needed or called, starting June 5, 1954 and continuing until he
would not be needed as Special Policeman. Motion Carried.
Schulz moved: Coon seconded: To-adjorn subject to the call of the Mayor.
Motion Carried.

July 6, 1954
Rerlar meeting was brought to order at 7:45 by Mayor 'v idmaier. Members present
were Burman, Clary, Coon, Schulz and Wykert. Mason was absent.
Minutes of the regular meeting of June 1, 1954 were read and approved as read.
Receipts of the town for the month of June 195)4 were read by the clerk.
Weld County Health Dept. sent un an unsafe, water sample report, but stated that
the water lines were being worked on at the time the samples were taken.
There was much discussion on the Trailer Court license for J. L. Reeves. The
Board felt as if some one connected with the Standard Oil Co. should have to pay
the license fee of 425.00 same as all trailer courts.
Schulz moved: Wykert seconded: To grant Mrt, Starkey permission to hook up to the.
Town water main on the south-east Hart of own. Motion Carried.
There was e complaint on the burning of dog bones in the north end of Town. The
Clerk was to contact Mrs. Hensley and see if some other means of disposing of
the bones could be taken,
There was some discussion on the drainage and grade of Third Street on the east
part of Town. Schulz was to contact Prange and Mason and Clifford White and see
if a curb and gutter could be put in on a proper line, and the county would do
the work.
Dusting of the town was discussed and tabled until August meeting.
The Mayor gave a report on the DIM Truck, a 1946 Dodge, -allowing `150.00 for
the old Federal and leaving a balance of 8350.00 for the 1946 Dodge Dump truck,
Harry Pottoroff of Eaton, also sent up a bid on a 1948 Ford Dip Truck, allowing
no trade in value on the old truck and leaving a balance `'
of 4675.00 for the 1948

Wukert moved: Schulz seconded: To purchase the 1946 Dodge Dump truck from the Nid-
na.i er Chevrolet at the price quotated, allowing 4150.00 for old Federal Truck aand
leaving a balance of 8350,00 for Dodge truck. Motion Carried.
Sherman :'roods, night marshall, asked the board for an allowance as expense and
un'keen for his car.
Coon moved: Burman seconded: To allow Sherman Woods 415.00 per month extra, for
car &expense and upkeep, Motion Carried.
The oiling of 1st Ave. south to B. street was ` discussed and tabled until August
meeting.
The Clerk asked for permission to hire Mrs. Riedel for one week in July during a
week of his vacation.
