Mayor Widmaier called the meeting to order at 8:05 P.M.
Members present were, Burman. Clary, Goon, Mason, Schulz ad Wykert.
Mr. $laurence C4, HighwayBower, Engineer, from the State Highwa Department was present to
explain to the lown Council the situation for installing a signal light at the
intersection of Highway # 85 and # 14, providing the Town would introduce para-
llel marking along the main street, or along Highway # 14.. After much discussion
on the subject, Schulz moved: Wykert seconded: To draw up an Ordinance elemin-
ating angle narking, and introduce parallel narking on a trial basis. Motion
Carried.
A. Beer Annlication from the A &A Cafe was read and considered.
Coon moved: Burman seconded: To grant Arden L. Austin, and Carl Archer a 3.2%
beer license for one year. Motion Carried.
A Purchase Order from the U.S. Department of Agriculture asking for fire run
assistance, and protection of there Range buildings from the Ault Rural Fire
Department was read 4nd considered. The Town Board granted the Ault Fire Dept.
to make this fire run when -ever needed.
Dusting of the town for the prevention and killing of flies and mosquitos was
discussed, and tabled until regular meeting night of September 7, 1954.
There was considerable discussion on the forming of a Fire District, but was
tabled until a later date.

Mayor idmaier called the meeting to order. at 7:x.0 P.M.
Members present were: Burman, lary, `'oon, Mason, Schulz and Wykert.
Minutes of the regular meeting of August 3, 195. and Special Meeting of August
30, 1954 were read and approved as read.
Receipts and Disbursements of the Town, for the month of August 1954, were read
by the Clerk.
The Weld County Health Dept. sent up two unsafe water sample reports, but stated
more samnles would be taken before any thing definite could be determined.
A letter from the Public Utilities Commission on the raising of rates for the
Home Light and Power Co. was read to the Town Board to O.K. Questioneer or
to Protest at a later hearing. The Mayor was to take care of this matter.
There was a complaint on the playing of games in the Town Park. It was discuss-
ed and deceided that not much action would be taken on the subject unless dam-
age was done to the nark.
A Portable Welder was to be hired and all Street signs were to be repaired
as soon as oossiele.
Installing of Curbs and Gutters of the Town was discussed, and also oiling of
the streets. The Mayor was to contact Carl Magnuson about the oiling of South
1st Ave. to the corner of A. Street and the School District was supposed
to pay for the oiling of an additionl block from the corner of A. Street to the
corner of B. Street.
Four self -closing re septacle s were to be purchased by the town and placed on
the four main business blocks of the town.
The gas heater in the front end of the City Hall was to be replaced with a new
and different heater. The Mayor asked anyone concerned to send in a bid, so this
could be done before winter weather.
A new adding machine from the Bachman's Office Equipment Co. was demonstrated
to the board. Mason moved: Coon seconded: To purchase new adding machine from
Bachman's Office Eqt,( Co. at the price quotated of $120.00 Upon roll call rive
voted yes and one voted no. ,
