Regular :meeting was called to order at 7:45 P.M. by $ayor "ffidmaier. Members
present Tern, Burman, Clary, Coon, Mason, Schulz and Wykert.
Minutes of the regular meeting of December 7, 1954 were read and approved as read.
Receipts and Disbursements of the Town of Ault, for the month of December were
read by the Clerk.
Mr. Clayton, attorney, representing the Home Light and Power Co. and Mr. Terry,
Vice President of Home Light and Power Co. were oresent to discuss a 25 year
Franchise between-lhe Home Light and Power Co. and the Town of Ault.
Mr. Clayton, read the -proposed Franchise to the town Board, it was discussed,
and moved by Burman: seconded: by Schulz: To Further consider the Ordinance
granting a 25 year Franchise to The Home Light and Power Co. and to have it
published, three times in the Ault Progress, and then discussed, adopted, and
passed at the next regular mecting of February 4, 1955. Motion Carried.
There was much discussion on the police and Firemen's Pension funds. The Town
Attorney was to he contacted and asked about different investments for this money,
and also what it could actually ,e anent for.
Street and Alley Committee gave report on the Street Lights of the Town of Ault.
Schulz and Mason reported that 18 new street lights should be installed, seven
changed from 1000 Lumen to 2500 Lumen and nossibly three could be eliminated, if
nerrnissible by the r oard of Trustee's end the Home Light and Power Co. This
would also increase the flat rate each month about $47,50, making it a total of
about q164.70 ner month.
Burman moved: noon seconded: To adont the Street and Alley Committee's report
andcontact the Home Light and Power Co. to have them look the situation over
and install additional lights soon as nossible. Motion Carried.
The Annlications sent in by all annlica,nts interested in the Day Marshall job,
were read and discussed. The Police Committee was to set up rules, regulations,
wages, vacation time and car expense at a later meeting. Then a Saecial meet-
ing of the Board of 1rustee' s was to be called at a later date, in which one of
these Apnlicants would be considered.
