APPROVING A ~ HOME CONTRACT AND ADMINIST'RA'TION AGREEMENT.
BETWEEN! THE LYNWOOD .REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AND THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD, PURSUANT TO TITLE 24 CFR, PART 92, TO CARRY OUT CERTAIN
HOUSING ~ RELATED ACTIVITIES _ PURSUANT TO HOUSING AND ~ URBAN
DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS AND TO CONIlVIIT THE CITY OF LYNWOOD< 1997
HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP ALLOCATION AND 1998 HOME
1NVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP ALLOCATION

WHEREAS, The City of Lynwood ,has received $556,000.00 in HOME Investment
Partnership allocation for Fiscal Year 1997 and $584,000 in HOME investment Partnership
allocation for Fiscal Year -1998 from the Federal' Department .of Housing and Urban Development. ;
~, to.:carry out certain eligible activities in accordance with federal program requirements at 24 CFR
92; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is required to commit ,each- years allocation. to a
qualified program, project, or` subrecipient within a 24 month period, in accordance with HI7D
guidelines ; :and
. ~ ~ WHEREAS, The City proposes to' enter into' a HOME' Contract and Administration
Agreement-with the Lynwood; Redevelopment Agency , a qualified subrecipient, to assist the City

in carrying outthe HOME requirements of providing affordable housing opportunities to low and ;
very low income presidents ;and
WHEREAS, The City proposes to commit 1997 and 1998 HOME Investment Partnership
monies to the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency pursuant to the agreement 'and within the k
HUD/HOME'guidelines ;and.

NOW,. THEREFORE the City of Lynwood does hereby resolve as follows

Section 1. Th'at,the~Cty Council approves the HOME Contract and Administration Agreement
with the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency and the City to commits $417;000 of the 1997 Home
.,Investment. Partnership Allocation and $438,000 of the .1998 HOME Investment Partnership
Allocation to be ~ used for the .development of affordable units, pursuant to HLTD/HOME
guidelines. . .
Section 2 . This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
