Regular Meeting
Regular Meeting was brought to order at 7:15 P.M. by litiayor fldmaier. Members
present were: Burman, Clary, Loon, Mason and Schulz. Wykert was absent.
Minutes of regular meeting of January 1, 1955 were read and approved as read.
Receipts of the Town for the month of January 1955 were read by the Clerk.
The Town received a safe water sample report, from the Weld County Health Dent.
Mr. Terry, Vice President, for the Home Light and Power Co. and Mr. Clayton,
attorney, for the Home Light and Power Co. were present, to again, introduce,
read and get the final adoption of the 25 year franchise, between the Home
Light and Power Co. and The Town of Ault.
A list of, all new, Street Light installations and change -over installations
was presented to the Town Board for there final consent, to have Home Light
and Power Co. install the lights soon as rermissible.
Coon moved: Clary seconded: To have Home Light and Power Co. install 52-2500
Lumen lights, in the Town of Ault, and have 39-1000 Lumen lights removed.
Motion Carried.
Mason move8: =1urman seconded: That the 25 year Franchise between the Home Light
and Power o. and the Town of Ault, was introduced, read, passed, adopted,
numbered and ordered published. Motion Carried.
The Clerk read the letters from Mr. Barnard. Houtchens, Town Attorney, con-
cerning the Firemen's Pension fund and the Policemen's Pension t'und.
A Pension board was to be sot un in the near future to take control of these
funds.
Beer annlications were sent in by the V.F.W. Club and Andrew's Cafe.
Burman moved: Schulz seconded: "o grant the V.F.W. Club and Andrew's Cafe, each
a 3.2% beer license for one year. Motion Carried.
The Dog Ordinance and the Peddler's Ordinance of the Town of Ault were to be
revised by the Clerk for the next regular meeting in arch, and again consid-
ered at that time.
Asa Mason presented a bid, for the Two new large doors, at The Town Hall. This,
was to be taken urn at a later date.
The V.F.W. Club asked for permission to install there own plumbing and %lamb-
ing fixtures, instead of hiring a licensed plumber. It was to be left uo to
the V.F.W. Club to obtain permission through the State Plumbing Association,
and perhao s the Plumbing Inspector, of the Town of Ault.
The Mayor asked if it could be possible to make one of the Town Employee's
a Town Manager, or Saner. visior in which all other employee ' s of the Town, in-
cluding the Day Marshall, Night Marshall, Utility man, and tetra help hired,
were to work under and with this person. This would relieve the Town Council
and Mayor of a lot of extraduty, and resnonsibility. The Clerk was anDoint-
ed Is this Manager, and all employee's problems were to be taken to him, and
worked out to +he best of his ability. However this person or manager, would
be responsible to the Board of Trustee's of the Town of Ault.
