A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE
SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION TO THE
CENTER FOR SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES FOR
THE 1998 JOINT CENTER SUSTAINABLE
COMMUNITY AWARD.
WHEREAS, The United States Conference of Mayors and the National
Association of Counties have joined in partnership to form the Joint Center for
Sustainable Communities; and,
WHEREAS, The -City of Lynwood has identified a project that is eligible
under the guidelines for the Joint Center Sustainable Community Award:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY. COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE,
DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Authorize the submittal of an application to the Joint
Center for Sustainable Communities for the 1998 Joint Center Sustainable
Community Award.
SECTION 2. The Interim City Manager, or his designee, is hereby
authorized and empowered to execute in the name of the City of Lynwood all
necessary applications for the purposes of submitting the award application.

adoption.
