A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AWARDING CONTRACT FOR AUDIT
SERVICES TO THE FIRM SIMPSON & SIlVIPSON, CPA's

f~. r~ WHEREAS, the City has solicited bids from fifteen CPA firms, three of which had
responded; and .
WHEREAS, the three firms, namely, Simpson & Simpson, Conrad & Associates and
Vasquez Farukhi & Company submitted their proposals which were reviewed and analyzed
by City staff; and
WHEREAS, the accounting firm of Simpson & Simpson has been selected due to its
experience in governmental auditing, .qualified audit staff, competitive fees, service
orientation and personal approach; and
WHEREAS, in addition, the firm was selected due to the time limit of having certain
audits completed and submitted to various government agencies; and
WHEREAS, Simpson & Simpson will provide service at a cost of $32,000 for the
initial year and 5% increase in subsequent years.
NOW, THEREFORE,.. the .City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
determine, order and resolve as follow:
1, Section 1. That the Audit service contract be awarded to Simpson & Simpson for the
term of three years with the option to provide services for an,additional two years.
Section 2. This resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
