HomeMy Public PortalAboutMOU Local Firefighters Incentive Pay 2013-2014MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING The City of Crestview (hereafter, the "City") and the International Association of Firefighters, Local 2680 (hereafter, the "IAFF"), collectively the "Parties," hereby agree to the following Memorandum of Understanding: WHEREAS, the City and the IAFF mutually agree that IAFF bargaining unit members will forfeit all Incentive Pay and Uniform and Food Allowances for fiscal year 2013-2014 in exchange for the City agreeing not to lay off IAFF bargaining unit members during fiscal year 2013-2014; and NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties agree as follows: 1. The bargaining unit members will forfeit all Incentive Pay as set forth in Article 10 and Uniform and Food Allowances as set forth in Article 30 of the Parties' Collective Bargaining Agreement for fiscal year 2013-2014. 2. The City agrees that it will not lay-off any bargaining unit member during fiscal year 2013-2014. This paragraph does not apply to any bargaining unit member that is discharged for cause. 3. If the City does lay-off any bargaining unit member during fiscal year 2013-2014, then the terms of this Memorandum of Understanding shall immediately become null and void and the contract language affording Incentive Pay and Uniform and Food Allowances shall be reinstated retroactive to the beginning of fiscal year 2013- 2014. Likewise, the bargaining unit members will be afforded the right to continue Friday crew meal trips and stand-alone trips to convenient/grocery stores. 4. In addition, in the event that the SAFER Grant is approved and received by the City, the terms of this Memorandum of Understanding shall immediately become 313192v3 null and void and the Parties will revert back to the contractual language in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
