FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council views Hennepin County sanitary landfill matters to be regional in nature and urges the Hennepin County Board of Comm- issioners to consider sites which reflect the regional nature of the problem. FURTHER RESOLVED that the zoning code presently in force in Medina does not permit the use of the property designated by Hennepin County for the sanitary landfill as a landfill. FURTHER RESOLVED that Medina's experience with sanitary landfills has indicated that the operation of a landfill within a municipality creates additional pressure on the local road systems, excess amounty of paper and trash along the road sides and other problems for which no compensation or cures have been previously designated. Adopted by the Medina City Council this 1 day of ..Mayo Clerk y, 1979•
