HomeMy Public PortalAboutPAGE 423(Continued) Regular Meeting October 2, 1956 A petition was sent in by Town' s people, concerning the dust of the Farr Elevator during Bean season. The Farr Co. was to be contacted to see what could be done before next Bean Harvest. The Clerk reported on the Water pressure Tanks, and Contract to be signed and completed with the later Tank Service Co. There was some discussion on the dumping grounds for the Town of Ault, The Finance Committee was to work with Mr. Troy Jones on this matter before next November meeting. There was some complaints on the use of the Cemetery road as a speedway. Cemetery Committee was to investigate this complaint, to see if it would be necessary to construct a gate and walk-in gate, at the entrance of the Cemetery. November Board meeting was to be called at 1:00 P.M. on Nevember 2nd and was suggested all meeting's during winter month be called during afternoon of the first Tuesday, if everyone agreed. Clerk Called Meeting adjorn subject to the call of the „1„ 2, Mayor October 9, 1956 423 The Town Board Meeting was called to order at 2:15 P.M. by Mayor Widmaier. Members present were: Armstrong, Clary, Robinson, and Wykert. Burman and Snow were absent. The reason for this meeting was to set a Tax Levy for the Town of Ault for the year 1957, and also adopt the budget for the year 1957. There was a. lot of discussion on the Tax Levy and Budget, and Robinson moved: Wvkert seconded: To adont the nronosed budget and to set the 1.957 Tax Levy at 15 mills, providing there were no protests by next regular meeting of November 1956. Motion Carried. Robinson moved: Clary seconded: To adjorn subject to the call of the Mayor. Motion Carried. Q__ Clerk ._ �--./�%C i/ �,f Mayor Regular Meeting November 5, 1956 Regular meeting was called to order at 7;40 P.M. by Mayor iNidmaier. Members present were: Armstrong, Burman, Clary, Robinson, Snow and Wykert. Minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 2, 1956 and Special Meeting of Oct- ober 9, 1956 were read, and to be corrected, by next regular meeting. Receints and Disbursements for the month of October 1956 were read by the Clerlf. $field County Health Dept. sent in two safe water sample reports for the month of October '1956. Armstrorig moved: Snow seconded: To adopt the proposed budget, and to set the 1957 Tax Levy at 15 mills. Motion Carried. Mrs. Fathergill sent in her Application. for Police Magistrate, for the Town of Ault, due to the resignation of Mr. Edward L. T nn Jr. Robinson moved: Wykert seconded: To except and anoint Mrs. George Fathergill, as Police Magistrate, for the Town of Ault, 'and to serve at the will and pleasure of the Town Board. Motion (a.rried. Liquor Aonli:cations for the year 1957 were sent in by Ceo.Simnson, August Roth- man, An Frank D. Moody. Wvkert moved: Robinson seconded: To grant August Sothman., Grorge Simnson, and Frank D. Moody, each, a liquor license for the year 1957. Motion Carried. Trustee Wykert, gave report on the Cemetery entrance. After much discussionit was tabled until a later date. (Continued)
