AUTIIORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR
ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH '1' & M ASSOCIATES-
RElViEDIAL/POST EXCAVATION ACTIVITIES CIVIC CENTER PARI\:
"'HEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional engineering
services for RemedialJPost Excavation Activities at Civic Center Park related to
environmental services per attached proposal; and
'VIlEREAS; T & M Associates, 11 Tindall Road, Middletown, NJ 07748, possesses the
requisite experience and expertise to provide said services; and
'VHEREAS, T & M Associates has submitted a proposal to provide said services at a
total cost not to exceed $8,750.00; and .
'VHEREAS, the Mayor and the Council have reviewed said proposal; and
'VHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose.
NO"', THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Council of the
Bowugh ofCarteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal fi'om T &M Associates for the above described engineering
services, as outlined in T & M's proposal dated June 11,2007, at a total cost not
to exceed $8,750.00 is hereBy approved;
2. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract pursuant
to the Borough's Fair and Open Process as provided for and in accordance with
applicable law.
3. A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing Department
and T & M Associates.
