• Call to order by CM at 6:05pm

• Election follow up: renewal of Tim Trigg,Vice-President(completed by Mayor Dory at 6:06pm).
• Public Input-None
• Approval of minutes of regular meeting-February 1, 2023. Motion to approve by TT,second by CM

• Approval of monthly claims and invoices-February 2023. Motion to approve by DH,second by TT
Passed 4-0
• New Business
• School District Nurse Fawn Helmer requests to place mobile facility in Robe Ann Park during the
summer to provide school vaccinations for district students(only).Those who participate would
receive a one-day pool pass.STIPULATION:request that Monday-Friday only are available, no
weekends. Pass will be for another day, not the day of the shot. TABLED-ask about an alternate
location.4-0 to table. DH and TT
6. Special Events
• Shelter sponsorship guidelines-Shared document with guidelines Motion to approve by CM,second
by JM,passed 4-0 A couple of questions were raised.
• Concert update-Director indicated the planned concert would be postponed until summer 2024.
Perhaps it could be a kickoff to the summer season,with the cooperation of Parkfest.
• Design proposal for Land and Water Grant. Motion to approve the services/contract:TT,second by:
JM, passed 4-0.WD shared the process.The process began in May 2021.The agreement does not
include electricity. Question about Parent Plaza. Speed bumps were asked by TT. Question about a
gate(TT).Advanced funding for the restrooms(GR) is available for an earlier start. Restroom bid
process will begin sooner. CM has a signed doc she will share with GR and WD.
7. Director's report
• Programming(CS) 131basketball players.She shared a version of the team photos for the sponsors.
Some coaches needed to give players equal time.April 8 Easter Egg Hunt.Candy has been ordered.
13 returnees' lifeguards, 11 new guards.Swim lessons forthcoming.Assistant manager will be in
manager-in-training position. Basketball:JM referenced using wrist bands to use for partnering
players who guard their opponent. Process used in Terre Haute.
• ADA accessible fishing pier update- Director mentioned meeting he had with an anonymous
organization who is interested in partnering with GPR on building an ADA accessible fishing pier at
Jaycee Park. Further discussion is forthcoming.
• Snow hill in Big Walnut update—Director will be reaching out to contractors indicating we have a
location to place excess fill dirt as various projects provide throughout the community.
• Park house update-3 excavators have been contacted and Director will be meeting with each one
next week.
• Master Plan committee—a committee has been established and the first meeting will be scheduled
for later in March.Cory Whitesell of Hannum,Wagle, and Cline is leading the project.
• Director will be coming to April meeting with a new logo concept.
• Mayor Dory-said Y groundbreaking is this month or April.Stockpiling soil for various projects.
