Dale uJ Adoplion "June 21,".2007 ENDORSING FY 2008 NJDOT DISCRETIONARY AID GRANT APPLICATION FOR CARTERET AVENUE REHABILITATION-PHASE II WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, New Jersey are desirous~6f obtaining discretionary funding from the NJDOT Trust Fund Authority Act,~ Fiscal Year 2008 Municipal Aid Program for the CarteIet Avenue Rehabilitation-Phase II project;- and '''HERE AS, the Governing Body has authorized the Borough Engineer, T &M Associates, to prepare a Discretionary Aid Grant ApPlication for submittal for funding . under the FY 2008 NIDOT Grant Program; and 'VHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has prepared said discretionary aid application" for the rehabilitation of Carteret Avenue from Lowell Street to HalTison Avenue; and "'HEREAS, the Governing Body has reviewed the above described Discretionary Aid Application and has approved of the same, llaving detem1ined that the referenced project in~ludes improvements that are significant for resurfacing of the roadway. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret, County, of Middlesex, .lState of New Jersey that the Borough of Carteret hereby endorses the submission of the above described FY 2008 NJDOT Discretionary Aid Grant Application to the New Jersey Department of Transportation and that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said application. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy ofthis Resolutiollalong with three signed copies of the application be forwarded to the Borough Engineer for submission to the District Local Aid.Office within the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
