Regular Meeting

October 7, 1957
Regular meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Mayor M.C. Widmaier. Mem-
bers present were: Burman, Clary, Robinson, , Snow and Wykert. Armstrong was
absent.
Minutes of the Regular Town Board meeting of Sept. 1957 were read and approved
as read.
Receipts and Disbursements for the month of Sept. 1957 were read by the Clerk.
Two safe water sample reports were sent to the Town of Ault,. from the Weld eo.
Health Dept.
Snow moved: Wykert seconded: To adopt Ordinance # 129, Entitled, an ordinance
to repeal ordinance # 95, of the Town of Ault, adopted May 5, 1931, and remov-
ing restrictions with respect to speed of trains, locamotives, and motor cars
within the Town of Ault. Motion Carried.
Weld County Assessor, Tom. Kennedy, wrote that the Town assessed valuation, for
the year 1957, was $830,910.00 and that the Tax levy should not exceed .01660
giving a tax amounting to $13,793. 10 without authorization of State Tax Comm-
issioner or Special Election,
Mr. Russ Thomte, Town Auditor, was to be contacted to have an Annual Budget
drawn up, adopted, and published, and from the budget a tax levy for the year
would be set up for the Town of Ault.
There was some discussion on drawing un an Ordinance forbidding U-turns along
lst Street. Snow moved: Wykert seconded: To draw un an ordinance forbidding
U turns West of the Railroad tracks, on intersection, Highway 14 and Highway
#85, and Intersection 2nd Avenue and 1st Street, Intersection lst Avenue and 1st St,
and Intersection Graefe avenue and Lst Street, with a minumum fine of $3.00
and a,Maximum fine of $5.00. Motion Carried.
