CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. 79-36
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the City
Council on the 1 day of L, �:_ , 1979, the City
Engineer has prepared plans a d s ecifications for the follow-
ing proposed improvement:
The repair, reconstruction and surfacing of the streets,
namely Tower Drive, Pinto Drive, between T.H. 55 and Hamel
Road; and Hamel Road between Hickory Drive and a point 600 feet
east of Tower Drive; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has presented such plans and
specifications for approval by the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Medina, Minnesota:
1. The said plans and specifications, a copy of which is
attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference, are hereby
approved.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted
in the City's official newspaper, and in The Construction Bulletin,
an advertisement for bids upon the making of the said improvement
under the approved plans and specifications. The advertisement
shall be published / times in the official newspaper and /
times in The Construction Bulletin. The advertisement shall
specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will .- re-
ceived by the Clerk until 11:00 a.m. on the,';?/ day of 41^
1979, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Ci'y
Council chambers of the City Hall located at 2052 County Road 24
in the City of Medina, said bid opening to be conducted by the
City Clerk and the City Engineer, whereupon the bids will be tab-
ulated, and will be considered by the City Council at 8:00 p.m.
on the-";" day of � - `1979 in the City Council chambers as
aforesaid. The said advertisement for bids shall state that no
bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk
prior to the time and date stated above, and accompanied by a cash
deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check made payable
to the City Clerk in an amount equal to /6-70 of the amount of the
bid submitted.
