~A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
A CONTRACT FOR ELECTRONIC DATA PROCESSING AND MAILING SERVICES
WITH ~INFOSEND, INC. fOR A TERM OF THREE YEARS, AND AUTHORIZLNG THE
.MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE FIRM
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood's existing contract with our Utility Bill Printing
-and Mailing Services Agency 'has expired; and "
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood recognizes that the residents of Lynwood have
a right to expect, and the City has an obligation to .provide efficiently and cost
effectively, electronic data :processing and mailing services; and
WHEREAS, staff evaluated that outsourcing these services is more cost
beneficial and economical than .processing them in house; -and
WHEREAS, on October 6, 2009, the City Council authorized staff to send out a
request for proposals {RFP) to procure such services; and
WHEREAS, a .panel of staff reviewed proposals received and determined that
the contract should be awarded to Infosend.
NOW, THEREFORE; THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AND .DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That a contract .for electronic data processing and mailing services
be awarded to Infosend for a term of three years.
Section 2. That the .Mayor be authorized to sign the contract in a form
approved by the City Attorney.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
PASSED., APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 5th day of January, 2010.
