CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. `,-/�%J%
RESOLUTION ORDERING AN IMPROVEMENT, APPROVING
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, AND ORDERING
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
WHEREAS, all of the owners of real property abutting on
that portion of Tower Drive lying westerly of Pinto Drive have
petitioned the City Council of the City of Medina for the con-
struction of the following improvement:
The construction of a street, namely Tower Drive lying
westerly of Pinto Drive, and the construction of a water main
therein; and
WHEREAS, all of the owners have petitioned the City
Council to assess the entire cost of said improvement against
their property; and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvement was referred to McCombs -
Knutson Associates, Inc., who advised the City Council in a pre-
liminary way that the proposed improvement is feasible and
prepared an estimate of the cost thereof; and
WHEREAS, such improvement is ordered as proposed and Mc
Combs -Knutson Associates, Inc. is hereby designated as the
engineer for the improvement and is further ordered to prepare
plans and specifications for the making of the improvement; and
WHEREAS, McCombs -Knutson Associates, Inc., hereinafter des-
ignated the City Engineer, has prepared the said plans and speci-
fications for the said improvement; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has presented such plans and
specifications for approval by the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Medina, Minnesota:
1. The said plans and specifications, a copy of which is
attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference, are hereby
approved.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted
in the City's official newspaper, and in The Construction Bulletin,
an advertisement for bids upon the making of the said improvement

under the approved plans and specifications. The advertisement
shall be published times in the official newspaper and /
times in The Construction Bulletin. The advertisement shall
specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be re-
ceived by the Clerk until 11:00 a.m. on the 2. day of Cc t,
1979, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Cit
Council chambers of the City Hall located at 2052 County Road 24
in the City of Medina, said bid opening to be conducted by the
City Clerk and the City Engineer, whereupon the bids will be tab-
ulated, and will be considered by the City Council at 8:00 p.m.
on the r' / day of r. - , 1979 in the City Council cham-
bers asresaid. Thesaid advertisement for bids shall state that
no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk
prior to the time and date stated above, and accompanied by a cash
deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check made payable
to the City Clerk in an amount equal to % of the amount of the
bid submitted.
