A RESOLUTION OF T.HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE STREET CLOSURE FOR ALAMEDA STREET (LITTLE ALAMEDA) WITH A ~ '
WAIVER OF THE.PERMIT-FEES:FN THE AMOUNT OF $538.00` ,
WHEREAS, a request has been made by the U.S. Census Bureau to close a t
,portion of Alameda Street (little Alameda) between Lynwood Road and Dixon Street to ~
k ,
host ari Open House for the Lynwood Office; and
WHEREAS, ;the ;purpose of the closure is to host the Grand ;Opening of the
Lynwood Census Office from 10:00 a.m. to 1;00 p.m. and

WHEREAS, th'e;Census is requesting the street closure for Monday, January 11,
2010 from '8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to set up prior to the event and clean up afterward.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD'DOES
HERE$Y FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
'.Section 1.. The City Council hereby finds that the temporary closure of
Alameda Streetbetween Lynwood Road and .Dixon Street consistent with the '
requirements of the Vehicle Code Section 21101(e) insofar as such .closure is '
necessary for the `protection and safety of the persons who are to use that portion of the
street during the temporary closing. As such, the City Council hereby approves such ;
temporary closure on January 11, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. pursuant to City
safety standards and warnings.
Section 2. The City Council approves the street closure with no waiver of
permit fees as the City of Lynwood is a Decennial Census Partner.
Section 3~.'~ This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
'PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED THIS 5th day of January, 2010.
