. - A RESOLUTION OF THE. CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROPRIATING NINETY-SIX THOUSAND,. NINETY- ~ ~ '
EIGHT-DOLLARS FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED GENERAL FUND ~_
', BALANCE TO BE UTILIZED TO PROVIDE SECURITY SERVICES AT
. ~ VARIOUS CITY PARKS AND FACILITIES.
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has recently completed a substantial
redesign and renovation of Lynwood City Park; and ,

WHEREAS, the park facility was reopened on Saturday, ,September
' 26,1998; and ,
'~ . ' ,..
'. ~ WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood spends hundreds of thousands of
dollars annually for the repair of vandalism and graffiti; and
WHEREAS,. these activities could be prevented to a great extent through
the. use of security officers in and around our park and city facilities during weekday
afternoons and evenings a.s well as on weekends; and
. WHEREAS, security activities would also provide for a safer ..
~' n environment-by which children and families could find it more .comfortable to participate., .
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY. COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AS FOLLOW. S:
Section L The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby authorize the

City Manager or his designee to implement all financial transactions as approved in this
' - resolution.
