A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING
THE APPROPRIATION OF TWENTY-SEVEN THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS
FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED GENERAL FUND BALANCE FOR THE .1998/99 FISCAL
YEAR FOR FINANCIAL ACTIVITIES RELATIVE TO IMPLEMENTING THE WINTER
CONCERT SERIES AT THE LYNWOOD PERFORMING ARTS CENTER
WHEREAS, the City Council is continually looking for new and innovative
programs for the citizens of the City of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, the concept of a winter concert series in the Lynwood Performing
Arts Center has been proposed;. and .
WHEREAS, these concerts would be held in the Lynwood Performing Arts
Center on a monthly basis in the early evening hours; and
WHEREAS, this concert series would showcase entertainers in all areas of
musical interest; and '
WHEREAS, a snack bar could be implemented during the program to assist in
defraying a portion of the program costs; and
WHEREAS, this program was not included as a part of the fiscal year 1998/99
budget adopted by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, there are various costs associated with this program such as;
contracting entertainers, the purchase of banners and preparation of brochures to advertise
the program as well as the conduction of the concerts.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Lynwood that:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood authorize the Interim
City Manager or his designee to execute all necessary financial activities relative to this
resolution.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Lynwood authorize the following
transfer:

Unappropriated General Fund Balance O 1 - 4771 - 4220
$27,900.00 $27,900.00 .
Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
