THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS
ORDINANCE NO. 261
AN ORDINANCE REGULATING TRAFFIC WITHIN THE CITY PARK
OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS LOCATED IN THE 5200 BLOCK
OF 48 STREET NORTH, BEL AIRE, KANSAS BY PRESCRIBING THE
SPEED LIMIT WITHIN THE PARK AND UPON ALL DRIVEWAYS
AND OTHER RIGHTS-OF WAY PROVIDING ACCESS THERETO,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS:
Section 1. Speed Limit within the City Park and on Access Thereto
It is unlawful for any person to drive or otherwise operate any vehicle at a speed greater than
twenty (20) miles per hour within the city park located in the 5200 block of 48st Street North, Bel
Aire, Kansas or upon any driveway or other right-of-way providing access thereto,
Section 2, Vehicle Defined
"Vehicle" as used in this ordinance shall mean every device in, upon, or by which any person
or property is or may be transported or drawn upon a roadway.
Section 3, Penalty
The penalty for any person found guilty of failing to obey the speed limit declared herein shall
be provided in the Uniform Traffic Code as adopted by the City of Bel Aire.
Section 4. Effective Date
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in the official
city newspaper, Enforcement may commence upon posting of the speed limit declared herein.
