RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES CONTRACT WITH P.M.K. GROUP,
RE: ASBESTOS MANAGEMENT SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized asbestos management
services as part of the treatment plant demolition project; and
WHEREAS, the P.M.K. Group has submitted proposal for said asbestos management
services to include an asbestos identification survey, preparation of technical
specifications for asbestos removal and asbestos monitoring during the demolition project
in an amount not to exceed $10,000.00; and
WHEREAS, as the Borough of Engineer, Donald J. Norbut, P.E., C.M.E., has reviewed
the aforementioned proposal and recommended the awarding of the contract for the same
to the P.M.K. Group; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body has reviewed the proposal and the Borough's Chief
Financial Officer has certified that funds are available for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey as follows:
(1) The proposal from P.M.K. Group for asbestos management services for the
treatment plan demolition project in the amount not to exceed $10,000.00 is
hereby approved.
(2) This contract is awarded as a professional service pursuant to N.J.S.A.
40A: 11-2(6)

and certified as a true copy of the
original on September 21, 2001.
