HomeMy Public PortalAboutPAGE 444444 Regular Meeting April 6, 1959 Regular meeting of the Trustees of the Town of Ault was called to order at 7:45 by Mayor M. C. Widmaier. Members present were: Armstrong, Burman, Robinson Snow and Wykert. Clary absent. Minutes of the regular meeting of March 2, 1959 were read and approved as read. Receipts for the month of •iarch were read by the Clerk. Correspondence read included two let ers from Boettcher and Co. concerning plans for water system improvement. Clerk instructed to reply that plans are indefinitely postponed. Weld County Health Department sent in two safe water sample reports for the month of March. Letter of resignation as clerk from Paul Lear was read. There was discussion of duties of utility roan and bookkeeper. Moved by -y'kert ; Seconded by Snow to pay salary of 4135.00 per month to Clerk and to raise Armstrong from $265.00 to ,3280.00 per month. Roll Call. notion carried. Blake armstrong brought up the matter of some meter parts and supplies which will be needed in the near future in the water department. He was authorized to proceed to make any purchases necessary up to i25 himself. For more expensive items he should see committeeman of the department involved before making up the order. Park man to start work about April 15 or at the option of Mr. Armstrong. It was further decided I-Ir. L.rmst rong should attend board meetings in the future. Mr. Russell Thomte of the auditing firm of Robert R. Anderson and Co. was present and gave a report of the audit of the books for 1958. Snow moved: Armstrong seconded: I4iotion to grant cemetery deed to Si Lots 7 & 8, Block 4, Section 27, Ault Cemetery to James A. Hob )s. Moved by Armstrong: Seconded by irty pert : to pay approximately .1500.00 and interest on registered warrants. Moved by y kobinson: Seconded by Snow to dispense with services of day marshal as of April 15. Roll call. I=otion carried. Police committee to notify Rankin. Finance committee examined these bills: (Bills) Moved by Wykert; Seconded by Robinson to allow bills and draw checks for the amounts. Notion carried. Members present were: Armstrong, Burman, Clary, Robinson, Snow and Wykert. Minutes of the regular meeting of April 6, 1959 were read and approved as read. Receipts for the month of April were read by the clergy. Clary moved: Wykert seconded motion to pay the balance of the registered warrants outstanding. Roll call. Motion carried. Weld. County Health Department sent in two safe water sample reports for the month of April. Eye injury of George Fothergill of April 24 was reported to Indus- trial Commission State Compensation Insurance Fund April 29. Bond for Paul Lear was replaced by same for Martha B. McCrumb; Bond for Earl T. Rankin cancelled. No other correspondence. April fire runs ---three Clerk was instructed to makeup list of delinauent water accounts. Blake Arm- strong to contact those parties either to collect payment or turn water off. Complaints against L. R. White regarding the erection of a barber pole on the parking in front of the library and a drain spout from his building which might cause (continued)
