C. Widmaier. Members present: Armstrong, Burman, Clary, Robinson, Snow and Wyke rt . Minutes of the meeting of June 1 read and approved as read. Financial report for the month of June was read. Weld County Health Department sent in two safe water samples for the month of June. June fire runs --1 Mayor Widmaier presented an estimate of $100 from Henry Koch for repair of the roofs of the library and the town hall. Repair was approved. In the matter of cleaning the water tanks it was decided that such was not necessary for another year. Request of the U. P. railroad to lease ground for the purpose of LPC storage tanks was approved with the understanding that they should be kept to the edge of town and away from bulk gasoline storage. In response to several complaints concerning insect pests it was decided to dust the town. Widmaier to make necessary arrangements. A letter from Boetcher & Co. brought up the possibility of forming a General Improvements District for the purpose of improving certain streets. Such district would have to include over 50 of the property owners who own over 50 of the valuation. Inquiry as to how other towns have financed such improvements will be made. In the matter of the burned out buildings belonging to G. E. Earring Mr. Widmaier reported that he had talked with Earring who has no immediate plans to build. Decision of the board was to consult Mr. Houtchens on proper procedure. Blake Armstrong presented proposition of Eaton Town Water Department to sell six rebuilt meters for $10 each. Armstrong authorized to use his own judgment and purchase them if it seems advisable. In the matter of a building code for the town, Gilbert Armstrong to talk to authorities in Eaton as to their experience and code. Clary reported that they are checking with the state hiway department for 4 -way stop signs to be placed at the Congregational Church corner. Gilbert Armstrong reported for the Fire Department that they can purchase 500 feet of used hose from the Greeley Fire Dept. . requested that the Town pay half of the cost tilsi the Fire Dept. would pay half. Approved. Salary of Martha B. McCrumb, clerk, raised to $170..00 as of July 1 and Blake G. Armstrong, utility man to $300.00. Moved by Wykert, Seconded by Snow. Roll call carried.
