PRESENT: Karen Hansen. Ron ?nelson. Craig Rockwood. Dee Johnson.
Dave Huntsman, Betty McKinlay.
VISITORS: Robert; Nielsen, John Horton.
The Minutes from the Dec. Council Meeting were read and approved.
Dee motioned and Craig seconded. All were in favor.
Bills were presented from last time for approval. Dee motioned
to pay the bills that were read last time and to pay the Road and
Bridge bill also. Craig seconded. All were in favor.
The vacating Donna West's property was discussed. Legal
description was not given to Dale Storer in time for the meeting
and it was written up as 12 1/2' instead of 15'. The 15' was
discussed and decided upon at the last. City Council Meeting.
Craig mentioned if Dee & Dave discussed it at the last Council
meeting then he would go along with it. Craig motioned to vacate
City Property at 1.5' and wave the motion for S separate signing
and Mayor and City Clerk sign Quick. Claim Deed. It will be
printed in the paper and we will bill Donna. Dee 2nd and moved.
All were in favor. The paper work will be done.
Burt: Thornton request was discussed. Burt was not in attendance.
He asked for a, variance for an appartment in his home. Public
Hearing was last week. All the property owners were notified.
Burt asked if the variance goes with property. It doesn't. Dale
Storer explained the process to Dave and Dave discussed it, with
the Council. It was suggested either getting Iona Zoned R-2 or
R-I. Craig suggested telling Burt no and telling him people who
already have appartmcnts established are doing it illegally. It
was decided to table the request; and Dave will talk to Burt.
Dave motioned to table until next meeting. lee 2nd. Craig voted
against tabling.
Karen asked the Council for S100 - S200 to get started on a fund
raiser. The committee will have a dance, floor show, and dinner
to raise funds for the building. Then. in the summer plans are to
have a craft sale in the Park. The proceeds will go towards the
building. The Council had no problem with giving the committee
some money.
Karen talked to Intermountain Gas about getting some money for a
Grant on the building. It will go toward insulating and heating
system if we get it.. Karen will have Floyd Gifford come in and
give a rough estimate of what it will cost for the electrical
work.
Dee motioned to adjourn. Time: 0:00 p.m.
