Security at $4 000 IS anticipated to cover the fees that would have been charged to the event . Free parking on the meters . Parking calculations are based on expected utilization . Andy Mond was hired by the Truckee Downtown Merchants Association (TDMA) as the event coordinator ChaIr Brown opened the Item for public comment Shane Peacock one of the owners of Pastime Club and Member of the TDMA spoke In support of the Item highlighting the success of last year's event Response to Council questions Pastime will participate In the beer garden again this year Elisa Westen burg Tourist Club Vice President of the TDMA and Chair of the Organization Committee provided an update . The TDMA has 20% more membership than reported only a week ago . Have received about 50 Inquiries regarding participation In Truckee Thursdays Donna Wood Owner of the White Buffalo TDMA Board Member and Chair for the Marketing and Promotion Committee stated they are seeking continued support for Truckee Thursdays Non-profit themes for the events are being Incorporated Response to Council questions Truckee locals can have free booth rentals at the event If they )oln the TDMA Stefanle OliVieri TDMA Board member for many years and past president stated . She attended a Main Street program education o Member of the community property owners, and business members believe It can revitalize the Truckee Downtown uSing thiS program o Exciting with new Interest and Involvement o ThiS IS Just a start for the Downtown that can become a huge event for the community o All Truckee merchants are encouraged to participate o The Town funding IS seen as temporary and the TDMA event should become self sustaining I Dean Schaecher TDMA President . Expressed concerns at the debriefing last fall . Believes there IS great energy In the TDMA and the event . Stated thiS IS an Investment In the heart & sole of Truckee .
