RESOLUTION NO. 06 -4452
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY RESTRICTING PARKING ON VARIOUS
PUBLIC STREETS FOR STREET MAINTENANCE
WHEREAS, Division 11, Chapter 9, Section 22507, subsection "A" of the California
Vehicle Code authorizes local authorities to prohibit or restrict the stopping, parking, or standing
of vehicles on certain streets or portions thereof, during all or certain hours of the day; and,
WHEREAS, Staff has reviewed the conditions in the various areas and have proposed
changes in parking restrictions to provide adequate parking opportunities for residents and
visitors; and,
WHEREAS, vehicles regularly park on various public streets often pose an obstacle to
the City's maintenance and street sweeping effort from fully accessing the curb and gutter,
thereby preventing the removal of trash, sediment, and debris from the public right -of -way; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed parking control signs are consistent with all local, state and
federal regulations.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple City hereby resolves as follows:
SECTION 1. Vehicle parking is prohibited on Sultana Avenue from Las Tunas Drive to
Broadway from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays.
SECTION 2. Vehicle parking is prohibited on Woodruff Avenue from Cloverly Avenue to
Alessandro Avenue from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays.
SECTION 3. Vehicle parking is prohibited on Rosemead Boulevard (west service road)
from Pentland Street to the railroad tracks from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursdays.
SECTION 4. Vehicle parking is prohibited on Agnes Avenue from Lower Azusa Road to
Hallwood Drive from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesdays.
SECTION 5. The City Manager is hereby authorized to erect or install the following
signs on the listed streets:
A. Sultana Avenue: "No Parking 9AM to 12PM, Mondays, TCMC 15.20.070" and
"No Parking 9AM to 12PM, Thursdays, TCMC 15.20.070 ".
B. Woodruff Avenue: "No Parking 9AM to 12PM, Tuesdays, TCMC 15.20.070" and
"No Parking 9AM to 12PM, Fridays, TCMC 15.20.070 ".
C. Rosemead Boulevard (west service road): "No Parking 9AM to 12PM,
Thursdays,.TCMC 15.20.070 ".
•D. Agnes Avenue: "No Parking 9AM to 12PM, Tuesdays, TCMC 15.20.070 ".
SECTION 6. Vehicles parked in violation of the above regulations are subject to citation.
SECTION 7. Violations of the parking restrictions imposed by this Resolution shall
subject violators to the sanctions provided in applicable Federal, State, and Local law, and the
City Manager (and his designates), the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, or any other
duly authorized law enforcement personnel, are hereby authorized to issue citations or take other
lawful action to enforce this Resolution.

SECTION 8. The City Manager may suspend enforcement of the provisions in this
Resolution for any period of time as the City Manager may, in good judgment determine is
necessary for the efficient administration of the City.
SECTION 9. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution.
