Moved by Wykert; Seconded by Armstrong motion to find out if services of
Johnson available as town attorney. Roll call. Carried.
Moved by Armstrong, Seconded by Loewen to give Sherman Woods one night a week
off ----preferably not always the same night. Police committee to arrange for a sub-
stitute. Roll call. Carried.
There was discussion on the need of a supply tank to equalize the pressure in
the water mains.
Concerning the paving project, Street and Alley committee to get information
from the County Commissioners as soon as possible. They are also to investigate
possibility of organization of an improvement district.
Letter from the Colo. Municipal League was read asking for reconsideration on
the Board's decision to drop membership. Moved by Snow, Seconded by Clary to rein-
state membership. Roll call. Carried.
Prange presented the protective covenanats applying to the Graefe's Seventh
Addition and they were discussed by the Board.
Finance committee examined bills totaling $1823.32. Moved by Armstrong, Seconded
by Loewen to pay the bills. Roll call. Carried.

Regular Meeting
June 6, 1960
Regular meeting of the Trustees of the Town of Ault called to order at 8 p.m.
by Mayor Howard E. Robinson. Members present: Armstrong, Loewen, Prange, Snow,
Wykert. Clary absent.
Minutes of the meeting of May 2nd read and approved as read.
Financial report for month of May presented.
Weld County Health Dept. sent in 2 safe water samples for month of May.
Correspondence: State Hiway denied liability for drainage problem at 1st St.
and 1st Ave. since it is within the city limits.
Old business: Armstrong moved, Prange seconded motion to appoint James P.
Johnson as assistant police magistrate. Roll call. Carried. Bond to be ordered.
Moved by Wykert, seconded by Snow, motion to offer Johnson position of town
attorney on retainer basis at $300.00 per year. Roll call. Carried.
Street and Alley committee reported that J. I. Woods is studying easement
proposal for drainage at East Third St. and Hayden.
Prange reported that his investigation of hook-up charges for water in other
towns seems to be from $100 to 5150 with $125 about average. His recommendation
is that Ault should make a charge of $130 to $150 (with additional charge if it is
necessary to cut oil or pavement) and the Town should furnish everything up to the box.
Water committee directed to get definite specifications and needs on replacing
water mains and to investigate need for additional fire hydrants and type of pipe
most practical.
Concerning proposed paving Wykert reported that Commissioner Bob Warren does
not with to assist in any town and he suggested that private enterprise probably
would be just as cheap and more satisfactory. Warren did say that the county will
help get the streets ready. Street &Alley committee instructed to contact Braddy
for figures.
New business: Onion Growers, Inc. would like to have permission to put up a
warehouse and would like to know the charge for water hook-up on lots in S. E. part
of Town.
Snow reported that some of the park benches and tables are in need of repair.
Moved by Wykert, Seconded by Armstrong motion to have Prange repair or replace any-
thing necessary. Roll call. Carried. Prange also instructed to put new lock on
Town Hall and to get new keys.
V. F. W. would like to tile west side of their building to provide more parking
space. Permission granted.
Need for a street light at the liensley corner on Allison St. was brought up.
Street and Alley committee to investigate.
Moved by Snow, Seconded by Loe*en to have the town sprayed for insects. Roll
Call. Carried.
T. Gene .Smith presented plan whereby Town
