RESOLUTION DETERMINING THE VALIDITY AND SUFFICIENCY OF THE
PETITION FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, a Petition has been received requesting the
improvement of Hickory Drive between the northerly terminus
thereof and Hamel Road by asphalt surfacing sufficient to
bring the street to a 9-ton road standard, and to assess the
cost thereof against abutting properties pursuant to Chapter
429 of Minnesota Statutes;
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MEDINA, MINNESOTA AS FOLLOWS:
1. The said Petition was filed on the ,i10 day of
1979 and is hereby declared to be signed by 100 per cent of the
owners of property abutting on the said street and affected
thereby, all in conformance with Minnesota Statutes §429.031,
Subd. 3, and 429.035.
2. The Petition is hereby referred to McCoombs Knutson,
Inc., consulting engineers, who are instructed to report to
the Council with all convenient speed, advising the Council
in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement
is feasible and as to whether it should best be made as
proposed or in connection with some other improvement, and
the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended.
