A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYN1N00® AUTHORIZING THE
®ONATION OF CONFISCATE® EVI®ENCE TO THE
RE® CROSS IDISASTER RELIEF EFFORT
~~ WHEREAS, The City of Lynwood acknowledges the disaster caused by
hurricanes in the Southern Region of the United States; and
WHEREAS, a disaster relief fund has been set to receive donations to
help the recovery in the Southern Region of the United States; and
WHEREAS, The City of Lynwood has confiscated miscellaneous items
that are due.to be destroyed; and
WHEREAS, that items consists primarily of quilts, pillows, blankets,.
cassette tapes, home decorations, and toys.
NOW THEREFORE, EE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of .
Lynwood that:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby authorizes
the donation of the confiscated evidence that is due to be destroyed, to the Red
-Cross Disaster Relief Effort.
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon. its
adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 21 st day of December, 1999.
