Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Ault called to order at
8 P. M. by Mayor Howard E. Robinson. Members present; Armstrong, Clary, Loewen,
Prange, Snow and Wykert.
Guests present were Lester Hotaling and representatives of the bidders on water
works materials.
Minutes of the meeting of Aug. 1 read and approved as read.
Financial report for the month of August presented.
Weld County Health Dept. sent in two safe water samples for the month of August.
Request of Ray 0. Emry, contractor, for a building permit for residence of '
Kenneth Masterson, frame and brick veneer, containing 1580 sq. feet, to cost $23,850
granted by motion of Wykert, seconded by Prange. Roll call. Carried.
Moved by Wykert, Seconded by Prange to grant cemetery deeds to Mrs. Hobert
Gunson for Lot 12, Section 14, Block 3 and Lot 7, Section 5, Block 3, Ault cemetery.
Roll call. Carried.
Sealed bids for the materials for water main replacement were opened, read and
tabulated, and turned over to Paul McClure for further comparison.
Lester Hotaling presented a request that the town withdraw their restriction on
the sale of beer on Sunday. There was discussion on advisability of the action and
method of financing cost of extra police. Tabled to look into the legal aspects.
Old business: Concerning the dump lease with T. Gene Smith as drawn has clause
concerning removal of gravel. Unless this provision is to be so worded to have the
dump available by Dec. 1 Johnson advised to hold off signing.
James Johnson requested authorization of the Board to have a survey of the
ground for drawing up a deed for the plot necessary for another well and pump at
a future time --said survey to include location of easements for ingress andegress
and pipe line. Moved by Clary, Seconded by Wykert motion authorizing Johnson to
get the survey for a plot 301 x 301. Roll call. Carried.
Moved. by Armstrong, seconded by Snow to have specifications drawn up and to call
for sealed bids on the installation of the new water lines. Bids to be opened in
the presence of the full council on Sept. 21 after publica'rion requirements. Roll
call. Carried.
Moved by Prange, Seconded by Snow to establish the following charges for new
installation: $135.00 for 3/4" tap on; $175.00 for 1" tap on; if meter box is
necessary an additional charge of $60.00 will be made. It is further moved that
the meter deposit for all users from this date will be $15.00 instead of $10.00
as formerly. Roll call. Carried.
Mayor Robinson explained the proposed federated system of libraries which would
include Eaton, Windsor, Platteville and Ault. Under the system the county bookmobile
would be in Ault twice a week with a much enlarged choice of books --juvenile and adult.
No additional levy will be reauired for Ault as we now have the necessary 1 mill
designated for library use. The county proposes to pay up to $500.00 toward librarian
wages and all library needs of the school are to be furnished.
Fire insurance on the library building to be left as in the past.
Blake Armstrong to be on vacation from Sept. 15 to Oct. 3.

application for 3.2% beer license for Boyce Inez I4ishler, dba Ina's Pool Hall.
A plication approved unanimously by poll of Trustees.

Special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Ault called to order
at 8 P. M. by Mayor H. E. Robinson. Meeting called for the purpose of executing
proceedings preliminary to issuance of general obligation bonds in the principal
amount of $30,000.00, said bonds for the financing of extending and replacing and
improving water system in the Town of Ault. Also for the purpose of accepting
contract for materials for the proje ct. Members present: Armstrong, Clary, Loewen,
Snow, Wykert. Prance absent.
