HomeMy Public PortalAbout1979-064Member 4201144 introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 7 %-W RESOLUTION MODIFYING AN EXISTING CONTRACT AND ADDING THERETO ON A UNIT PRICE BASIS WHEREAS, the City of Medina has an existing contract with C.S. McCrossan dated said contract being let pursuant to statute and after advertising for bids; and WHEREAS, said contract was awarded on a unit price basis and it is now the desire of the Council to include additional units at the same unit price to complete the following: The improvement of Hickory Drive between the Northerly terminus thereof and Hamel Drive by asphalt surfacing sufficient to bring the street to a nine (9) ton road standard; and WHEREAS, the additional units do not exceed 25% of the original contract price; and WHEREAS, the contractor, C.S. McCrossan, has agreed to add such additional units at the same unit price and all in accordance with Chapter 429.041, Subd. 7, of Minnesota Laws, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MEDINA: 1. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with C.S. McCrossan for/Go Q ��O `�- additional units of work at a cost of S „=,q00,pp , in the name of the City of Medina for the aforesaid improvements, according to the plans and specifi- cations on file in the office of the Clerk. 2. The contractor shall file an increased bond to cover the full contractual amount and the contractor's written agreement to add to the existing contract, at the same unit price as the original contract, shall be placed on file with the Clerk and made a part of the original contract, all in accordance with Chapter 429.041, Sudb. 7, of Minnesota Laws.
