RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE SUBMITTAL OF A GRANT APPLICATION
THROUGH THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES FOR FUNDING
FOR RESOURCE ENHANCEMENT AND PROTECTION (REAP) PROJECTS
WHEREAS, the City of Marcus, Iowa is desirous of submitting an application
to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources for the Resource Enhancement and
Protection (REAP) Project for the Marcus Trail Plan — Phase 1.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marcus Trail Committee is
authorized to submit a grant application to the Iowa Department of Natural
Resources through SIMPCO.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Marcus demonstrates its support
for the submittal of a the REAP grant application to the Iowa Department of
Natural Resources for Marcus Trail Plan — Phase 1. The City further agrees to
adequately maintain the completed project for its intended public use for a
minimum of twenty (20) years following the project completion.
This Resolution shall be effective following its adoption by the City Council.
