Wykert reported on a conference with County Commissioner Reed concerning county
assistance in paving to the effect that there would be no help from the County because
of opposition from private enterprise. It was pointed out by the commissioner that
a county hiway which enters a town becomes the town's obligation. Some county equipment
could be used, however, in preparing the streets for surfacing.
