Moved by Clary, Seconded. by Wykert to purchase lights and siren as suggested by the Civil Defense at a cost of $115.00 to the Town. Roll call. Carried.. Blake Armstrong instructed to take up a fire plug:; in front of McDaniels' home and to repair or replace same and to move it to the property line rather than in front of the house as at present. Clary explained the possible savings to the town thru tax refund by installing their own gas tank and pump. Matter carried over pending investigation into actual cost of equipment. Request of Clerk for $65.00 additional pay approved by motion of Armstrong, Seconded by Prange to grant $30.00 actual pay raise and $35.00 tentative increase for extra work involved in paving project --said $35.00 to be an expense of the project. Roll call. Carried. Mayor instructed Police committee to look into plan of yearly allowance for police uniforms. Marshal Babcock suggested that the police phone at the Texaco station be moved to a back room there as it is too accessible to the public in the present location. So ordered. Mayo r Regular Meeting October 2, 1961 Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Ault called to order by Mayor H. E. Robinson. Members present: Clary, Loewen, Prange and Snow. Absent; Arm st ron and wyke rt . Minutes of �' the meeting of Sept. 4 approved read and a p rove �. as react. F inanceial report for month of September presented. Weld County Health Dept. sent in two safe water samples for the month of September. Old business: Blake Armstrong reported that the fire hydrant needed to replace the one on First Ave. north of Fifth street is ordered and will be installed as soon as it arrives. Clary investi-atin; cost of equipment for gas tank and pump. May have information for next meeting. 1962 budget presented showing anticipated funds of $54,000.00 at a levy of 16 mills forgeneral purposes and 4 mills for bond and interest, total 20 mills. The following resolution was unanimously adopted: "Be it resolved and ordered by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Ault that upon valuations of assessable_ property in Ault as certified by theCounty Assessor for the current year, ther be and is hereby levied for ordinary purposes -- 16 mills; for payment of bonds - 4 mills. Total 20 mills." Street committee reported that petitions for -proposed paving are prepared and in process of circulation.
