Members present: Armstrong, Clary, Loewen, Prange, Snow and Wykert. Minutes of the meeting of November 6 read and approved as read. Financial report for the month . of No .;ember presented. Weld County Health Department sent in two safe water samples s fbr the month of Nov. Moved. by Armstrong, Seconderby Wykert to grant renewal of 3.2% beer license to V. F. W. Club. Roll call. Carried. Resolution to revise 1961 budget adjusting various funds as needed passed on roll call. request of Bill Harring to construct and operate Go -Cart track in Graefe Addition refused on grounds of restrictive covenants in the articles of annexation. Wykert presented complaint of Police Magistrate Mason concerning handling of bond money. Police committee to see Babcock concerning best practice. Prange called attention of the Board to the practice of parking on the crosswalks at the grade school to the inconvenience of pedestrians, and recommended painting the curb yellow to keep these walks open. So ordered. Clerk instructed to write. Dude Rice again requesting return of gun and other pro- perty belonging to the Town. Also to write for information concerning water tank as advert iscd by A. J. Curtis & Co., Denver. Judicial committee instructed Marshal Babcock to collect 1961 auctioneers license from Louis Sorenson andpool table license from Chester Forbes. Clerk instructed to bill Kenneth Masterson for new water connection. Financial statement of the Ault library for the first 11 months of 1961 showed a balance of $778.13. Need for a new motor on the furnace presented. One-half horse power motor to be purchased and installed with the town to pay one-half of the cost. E. Robinson at 8:00 P. M. Members present: Armstrong, Clary, Loewen, Snow and Wykert. Prange absent. Minutes of the meeting of December 4 read and approved as read. Financial report for the month of December presented showing a balance on hand as of Dec. 31 of 515,289.40. Annual statement presented. Weld County Health Department sent in two safe water samples for the month of Dec. Moved by Wykert, Seconded by Snow to grant cemetery deed to Si, Lots 1 & 2, Section 1, Block 4 to Maude Tormey. Roll call. Carried. Moved by Snow, Seconded by Wykert to purchase new patrol car according to the sales contract presented by Widmaier Chev. Total cost of the car $2781.65, trade-in allowance on the S5 Chev. $797.65. Net difference $1984.00. Roll call. Carried. Clerk instructed to notify Sarah Andrews that renewal of beer license may be denied unless certain conditions are cleared up. Police committee to work out system with Babcock concerning handling of bond money. Moved by Wykert, Seconded by Loewen to purchase new police gun. Snow to investigate costs, etc. Roll'call. Carried. Regarding extra utility man, Armstrong instructed to use his own judgment as to need. ' Gilbert Armstrong reported that the Fire District is considering buying the burned out lots on First Street as a building site for a new fire house. Requested assistance of the Town in cleaning them up. Opinion of the Board was that any assistance that they can give will be available.
