CALL TO ORDER
The May 15, 2009, "Brown Bag" Work Session was convened at 12:00 P.M. by Mayor John
Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Harvey, Klindt, Koon, Medin, Penfold, Pope, and Struemph
Absent: Carroll ( *arrived at 12:12 P.M.), Ferguson, and Scrivner
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Bills:
Mayor John Landwehr recused himself from discussion or presiding for the following issue
and President Pro Tempore Mike Harvey assumed the Chair : 2009 -8 and 2009 -9 (Midwest
Block and Brick Rezoning and PUD): City Planner Janice McMillan advised that a petition
has been received and verified which triggers a requirement for a two - thirds super majority
of seven Council Members to approve the two bills. Discussion was held regarding the order
of items associated with these two items at Monday night's meeting.
Mayor John Landwehr resumed the chair at this point.
*Councilwoman Carrie Carroll arrived at this point in the meeting.
Appointments:
Mayor John Landwehr stated that he will distribute a list of Council liaison appointments to
the Council sometime this afternoon, and asked that if anyone has any requests to swap
or change to let him know before he recommends the appointments on Monday night.
Resolutions:
Councilman Mike Harvey asked to be added as a co- sponsor of Resolution RS2009 -2.
