HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 06-22 Defining a library city patronRESOLUTION 06-22 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MCCALL, IDAHO, DEFINING A LIBRARY CITY PATRON ; CONSOLIDATING ALL PERTINENT LIBRARY INFORMATION : AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Resolution 03-08 defined fees and residency for a free library card, and WHEREAS, Resolution 06-15 changed the library fees for non -city patrons, and WHEREAS, the City Council wants to change the definition of city and non -city patrons, and WHEREAS, the City Council wants to consolidate all relevant matters pertaining to library fees, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MCCALL, Valley County, Idaho that: Section 1: Resolutions 03-08 and 06-15 are hereby repealed in their entirety. Section 2: Definitions: (A). A city patron is a resident of the City of McCall or a taxpayer within the City limits and all members of their household. To verify city patron status, a person shall show a valid Idaho driver's license, State identification card, rental or lease agreement, voter registration card, phone, utility or power bill for service, tax assessment bill or appropriate documentation at the address where the person pays the city tax. (B). A Non -city patron is a person or family who does not meet the above definition. (C). Household is those persons living together in the same dwelling unit. (D). A McCall Public Library card entitles non -city patrons to the same privileges as a city patron. Section 3: Fees The fees to be paid to the McCall Public Library at the time of service shall be: (A). Copying any document on the photocopier. $ .20 per page (B). Printing any document using the computer. $ .20 per page RESOLUTION 06-22 Library Fees Passed and approved this as th day of September, 2006. CITY OF MCCALL Valley County,d William A. Robertson, Mayor (C). The fee for a McCall Public Library Card for non -city patrons will be an annual fee based on a calendar year according to the date the original fee is paid. (D). Fines levied for items not returned by the specified due date. (Fines shall include the day the item is due, but not the day the item is returned. (E). Non -library card holders will pay for the use of the library's computers. (F). Reimbursement for items not returned, in accordance with Idaho Code §33-2620. $50.00 per year $ .20 per item per day $2.00 per 15 minutes $5.00 per hour Replacement cost plus 50% handling and replacement fee.
