A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF McCALL, IDAHO, REGARDING THE SUBMISSION
OF A TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL
AID FUNDING THROUGH THE IDAHO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION,
PROVIDING FOR RELATED MATTERS, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to support efforts that promote facility and infrastructure
improvements that benefit the citizens and visitors of McCall; and
WHEREAS, the need for Bicycle and pedestrian pathway improvements has been documented
by the City of McCall Bike Path Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, one recommended project for pathway improvements in the Master Plan is the
Deinhard-Boydstun connector (East-West Loop); and
WHEREAS, the Idaho Department of Transportation administers federal aid funding that
provides for bicycle and pedestrian pathways which is known as the Transportation
Enhancement Program, and
WHEREAS, the federal aid limit of such funding is $500,000; and
WHEREAS, there are matching fund requirements for the City of McCall to participate in such
federal aid funding; and
WHEREAS, the City of McCall certifies that it has the legal authority to apply for such federal
aid funding and agrees to comply with all federal rules for contracting, auditing, and financial
management of funds,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of the City of
McCall, Valley County, Idaho hereby support and endorse the participation of the City of
McCall in the submission of a Transportation Enhancement Program application to the Idaho
Transportation Department for federal aid funding for the development of a multiuse pathway
along the East-West Loop in the City of McCall.
This Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval.
