A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McCALL, IDAHO,
RELATING TO THE AUTHORIZATION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE IDAHO
TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT REGARDING A SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL
PROJECT AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Idaho Transportation Department, hereafter called the STATE, has
implemented a program entitled the Safe Routes to School (SR2S) program; and
WHEREAS, the program provides funding for infrastructure improvements related to
pedestrian and bicycle facilities within a two mile radius of an eligible school; and
WHEREAS, the City of McCall has identified a portion of the City of McCall
proposed pathway system near Payette Lakes Middle School that may be eligible for
construction through the SR2S program, and
WHEREAS, the CITY is submitting a funding application to the SR2S program for
construction funding for the identified pathway; and
WHEREAS, the CITY recognizes and accepts the responsibility for implementation of
the SR2S project if it is funded and agrees to provide for the maintenance requirements of the
SR2S program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1.
That the submission of the SR2S project application is hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the Agreement
on behalf of the CITY if funds are awarded for the project.
3. That duly certified copies of this Resolution shall be furnished to the Idaho
Transportation Department.
4. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and approval.
