Dajad Davidian on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of his Ordination to the 9foly Priesthood, and, WHEREAS: On Jury 17, 1960, Er. (Dajad was ordained a priest by Abp. Sion 14anoogian in Worcester, Massachusetts. In addition to serving his assignment at the Armenian Church of Bergen County, he was appointedeN,ecutive secretary of the Armenian Church 'Youth Organization of America (ACYOA) and editor of The Armenian Guardian; and; WHEREAS: In 1969, Er.'Dajad arrived as the Pastor of our St. James Armenian Apostolic Church parish in Watertown, Uldassachusetts, where he served -for thirty years, until his retirement from active ministry in 1999; and, WHEREAS: Fr. cDajad has served the Armenian Church in capacities beyond the Pastorate. .7fe served on the Diocesan Councirof the Diocese of the Armenian Church (Eastern); delegate of the Eastern Diocesan National -Ecclesiastical -Assembly in .7fory Etchmiadzin; the Board of St. Nersess Armenian Seminary; as well as other boards and commissions; NOW ` --(ERE FORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Councirof the City known as the Town of Watertown joins with the Pastor, Parish Council and Parishioners of St. James Armenian Church in honoring Fr. 'ajad Inavidian on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of his Ordination to Priesthood IN WITNESS WCEREOE, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Sear of the Town of Watertown on this 13th day of December, 2009.
