FRANCHISE
Representatives of The Home Light and Power Company appeared
before the Board of Trustees and made application for a franchise
in the Town of Ault, and presented a proposed ordinance setting
forth the terms of said franchise and asked that the same be intro-
duced, passed and adopted as provided by law. The representatives
of said Company also produced and presented a Notice of Application
for Franchise at the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of
said Town on January 7, 1963, which Notice contained a copy of
said proposed ordinance, and also, submitted a Publisher's Affi-
davit showing that said Notice of Application and Franchise had
been published in the Ault Progress, a newspaper of general circu-
lation in the Town of Ault for a period of not less than ten days
immediately prior to the January 7, 1963 meeting of said Board of
Trustees.
Said application, proposed ordinance, and Publisher's Affi-
davit, were filed with the Town Clerk.
Thereupon the said proposed ordinance was read in full by
the Town Clerkto the Board.
It was move by Trustee (< - )61-- )/ and seconded by
Trustee _ __ that the ;hoard of Trustees desires
to further confider the granting of the rights and privileges
sought for in said ordinance and that the Board of Trustees will
so consider the same for passage at the regular meeting of the
Board of Trustees on February 4, 1963; further, that said notice
be published by publication in the Ault Progress as required by
law and prior to the time such ordinance is again read and put
upon its passage at the next regular meeting of the Board of
Trustees on February 4, 1963.

the said motion was declared carried and publication as required
by law ordered.
