SUBJECT : ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO . 15-5076 MAYOR'S APPO INTMENTS TO CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEES AND DELEGATES AND ALTERNATES TO OTHER AGENCIES OR ORGANIZATIONS RECOMMENDATIO N: The City Counci l is requ ested to co nsid er appointments to various committees and agencies and adopt proposed Resolution No . 15-5076 (Attachment "A ") confirming those appointments. BACKGROUND: 1. On April 1, 2014 , the City Cou nci l adopted Resolution No . 14-4984 confirming the Mayo r's appointments to the various City Council committees and other governmental agencies or co mmunity organizati on s . 2. On March 17, 2015 , the City Counci l reorganized and seate d a new Mayor (Mayo r T om Chavez) and Mayor Pro T ern (M ayor Pro Tern Vincent Yu). ANALYSIS: Each year after the City Council reorga nizes , and with Counci l input, the Mayor reviews and selects representative delegates and alternates to oth e r governmental agencies and/or organizations. A listing of those organizations is attached as an exhibit (Exh ib it 1) to the proposed resolut ion . Regular meeting days and times are i ndicated for each organization , as well as those agenc ie s that pay a stipend for meeting attendance and have conflict of interest rep orting requi rements . City Council April 7 , 2015 Page 2 of 2 Co un cilmembers serving as the de legate to these governmental agenc ies and/or organizations attend regularly scheduled meeti ngs to disc uss and make recommendations regarding issues that may affect cit ies i n the Los Angeles County. Delegates to these governm e ntal age ncies and/or organ iza ti o ns also ha ve the official vo tin g responsib il ities. CONCLUSION: The City Counci l is requ ested to review th e list of City Council co mmittees a nd delegate appointme nts representing the City of Templ e City at meetings of other governmental agencies or commu nity organizations and to consider adoption of proposed Resolution No . 15-5076 making appointments to said committees, agencies and organ izatio ns . FISCAL IMPACT: This item does not have a fisca l impa ct on the Fiscal Yea r (FY) 2015-20 16 City Budget. ATTACHMENT: A. The appointments conta ined on Exhibit "A " for the various City Coun cil committees are hereby made ; and , SECTION 2. Appoin t men t s are effective upon passage of this resolut ion and shall continue until the next regularly scheduled selection of Mayor of tt,e City of Temple City .
