HomeMy Public PortalAbout1980-20Member'."�"`�' � `tx introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 80-v70 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND RECEIVING A REPORT AND CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE IMPROVEMENT OF SIDEWALKS IN THE HAMEL AREA, CITY OF MEDINA WHEREAS, it is proposed to construct and repair sidewalks in the Hamel area which lie adjacent to the following streets and to assess the benefitted property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429; Both sides of Hamel Road from Brockton Lane to Hunter Drive WHEREAS, the proposed improvements were referred to McCombs -Knutson and Associates, Inc., by motion of the City Council dated May 6, 1980, for study, with instructions to report to the Council as soon as possible, advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible and as to whether it should best be made as proposed, or in connection with some other improvement, and the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended; and WHEREAS, pursuant thereto, a report was prepared by McCombs -Knutson and Associates, Inc., with reference to the proposed improvement on June 17, 1980, NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Resolved by the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota: 1. The City Council will consider the sidewalk improvement in accordance with the report of McCombs -Knutson and Associates, Inc., and the assessment of property abutting on the improvement, for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429, at an estimated total cost fortheimprovement of Thirty Thousand and no/100 ($30,000.00) Dollars. 2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the -5- day of aye u61" , 1980, in the City Council chambers at the City Hall locgted at 2052 County Road 24, at 8:00 p.m., and the City Clerk is hereby instructed to give mailed notice and published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law.
