APPROVING SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT
RE: KOLIBAS
2001
WHEREAS, William J. Kolibas, Sr. has asserted a claim against the Borough of Carteret
for compensation of accumulated time alleged to be due and owing as a result of his prior
employment with the Borough; and
WHEREAS, the parties have engaged in discussions regarding settlement of the
aforementioned claim; and
WHEREAS, said discussions between the parties have resulted in a proposed settlement
of said claim; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to memorialize the terms of their settlement in a formal
settlement agreement; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have determined that entering into said settlement
agreement is in the best interest of the Borough.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, that the attached settlement agreement is hereby approved and the Mayor is
hereby authorized to execute the same.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the appropriate Borough officials are hereby
authorized to take the necessary action to implement the provisions of said agreement.
