CALL TO ORDER
The July 31, 2009, "Brown Bag" Work Session was convened at 12:05 P.M. by President
Pro Tempore Mike Harvey in the absence of Mayor John Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Harvey, Klindt, Medin, Penfold, Scrivner, and Struemph
Absent: Carroll, Ferguson, Koon, and Pope
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
BILLS:
2009 -58 (Code re: roundabouts) - Councilman Jim Penfold asked if the rules should be
suspended and this bill passed on Monday night since school opens on August 19 and the
regulations really should be in place before school starts.
GENERAL:
Art Inside the Park - A discussion was held regarding funds and whether any funding
remained for this event. City Administrator Steve Rasmussen stated that information will be
provided to the Council before Monday night's meeting. Council also asked staff to clarify
whether City funds can be expended on this event if it is to be held outside the City.
2009 -38 and 2009 -39 (SSM Hwy. 179 Interchange) - City Counselor Nathan Nickolaus
explained the changes to the amended contracts which were distributed in the packets. He
indicated the bills should be ready to be voted on Monday night.
