Call to Order 6:00 PM
A. Roll Call
CCA Board President Jennifer Mooney called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM. Upon Roll
Call the following school board members and City Council were present: Mayor Steve
Berner, Jim Bartels, Al Havens, Eric Schnedler, Christine Olney, Jennifer Mooney, Bob
Broghammer, Matt McAveary, Eileen Schmidt, Kathy Swenka, Nikki Knapp and Jeff
Tackaberry. Absent: Rodney Walls. Others present City Administrator Doug Boldt, Clear
Creek Amana Superintendent Tim Kuehl, City Clerk Abigail Hora, Board Secretary Lori
Robertson and others.
B. Agenda Additions/Agenda Approval
Motion to approve agenda by Schmidt
Second by Swenka
All ayes, agenda approved.
C. Welcome and Introductions
D. Discussion and Update on School Facilities/Organizational Planning
Discussion: Elementary updates to Oak Hill, North Bend or new elementary school. Pre-K
3 for North Bend. Additionals at the HS and Middle School Fine Arts addition. Commons
expansion at the Middle School. Bond issue in the Fall 2020.
E. Update on Associate Superintendent Search
Discussion: Associate Supertinendent Search underway. Interviews in February.
F. Discussion and Update on City Construction Projects
a. Traffic Signal Project at Highway 6/Deer View Avenue
Discussion: Poles and wires hanging across Hwy 6. Deerview signals up
and running middle of February. Crosswalks will be placed on the East side
of Hwy 6.
b. Roundabout at Highway 6/Park Road

Discussion:Roundabout is 60% completed. Project will resume work April
st
1. South side of Hwy 6 will be removed and will be completed sometime
after school has been let out.
G. Update on Recreation Center/Possible CCA and ICSD Participation in an Indoor Pool
Discussion: City has met with CCA and ISCD and discussed participation in an indoor pool.
City will be planning a capital campaign for the Recreation Center.
