A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE
APPROPRIATION OF NINE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS
FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED GENERAL FUND BALANCE FOR THE
PROGRAM ENHANCEMENTS FOR THE YOUTH BASKETBALL PROGRAM
Whereas,. the City of Lynwood in conjunction with the Lynwood Sports
~, Association, offers a dynamic Youth Sports Program to its citizens; and
Whereas, hundreds of young people are served by this program on an
annual basis; and
Whereas, the Youth Sports Association Board, coaches and parents raise
funds through registration fees, candy sales, concession stand efforts and other activities
to minimize the cost of this program to the local tax payer; and ~.
Whereas, the Youth Basketball Program is in need of various program
improvements and enhancements including•new/replacement equipment along with
upgrades in the program officiating; and ~
Whereas,. these requested improvements were not included and/or
approved as part of the adopted budget for fiscal year 1999/2000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Lynwood that:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood authorizes the
City Manager or his designee to execute all transactions necessary to bring this resolution
to successful fruition.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Lynwood authorizes the
following transfer:

Section 3. This resolution will become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
