PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS: The Quality of life in a community is enhanced by the
commitment and willingness of an employee to give of his or her time and
talents during employment, and
WHEREAS: Dolores Grandinetti, also affectionately called "Dolly" began
her career in the Town Hall Purchasing Department in January of 1989; and,
WHEREAS: Dolores, on behalf of the Veteran's Office, handed out
American flags to residents honoring their patriotism each Spring. Dolores
took great delight over the years participating in the Memorial Day Parade
with her son Fred. Dolores demonstrated time and time again the resolve to
help each and every citizen entering the office for assistance, with discretion,
class, dignity and a smile; and,
WHEREAS: Dolores is blessed with a wonderful and supportive family
including her late husband, Domonic, and two wonderful children: Domonic
and Fred and her beloved pet dog "Sweet Pea". Dolores enjoys vacationing and
spending time with her family and friends.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Council of the City
known as the Town of Watertown does hereby express its profound gratitude
and appreciation to Dolores Grandinetti for her many years of service and
dedication to the citizens of Watertown and wishes her continued health and
happiness upon her retirement and hereby proclaim July 13, 2010:
Dolores Grandinetti Day
And ask all citizens to join the Town Council in wishing Dolores a happy
retirement.
